A Note from the Artist:

I feel a lot and I feel very deeply. As a dancer and choreographer, my artistic process is constantly growing and developing. I have always been inspired by a dancer’s relationship to the music or the sounds that move them. I find myself inspired to choreograph when I hear a song that sparks certain ideas of movement and dynamics. I have always felt this emotional connection to music of all genres and am intrigued by how different sounds can inspire different types of physical reactions. I also tend to use dance as a way of telling a story or exploring relationships or experiences from my own life. The way that I feel about a situation in my life often makes its way into my dances, and I love seeing how every emotion can be communicated through movement.  I feel most creative in the studio late at night, when I can be alone with my thoughts and really process how to translate them into dance. As a choreographer, I hope to be able to spark similar emotions in my audience and draw them into the story I have created through dance.
